About this exam
This is Algebra2 Readiness test.
What is this test for?
- An Algebra 2 Readiness Test evaluates whether a student has the foundational algebraic thinking required to succeed in a full Algebra 2 course without remediation.
Schools use this (formally or informally) to decide:
- Whether a student can skip review and start Algebra 2 immediately
- Whether they need summer bridge work
- Whether they should repeat Algebra 1 / take Algebra 1.5
- Whether they’re ready for accelerated math tracks (Algebra 2 → Precalculus)
This is not an Algebra 2 test.
It tests everything Algebra 2 assumes you already know.
What skills is it testing at a high level?
- Algebra 2 assumes students can already:
- Manipulate algebraic expressions confidently
- Solve linear and quadratic equations fluently
- Understand functions conceptually (not just plug-and-chug)
- Work with rational expressions and exponents
- Translate word problems into equations
- Recognize patterns and relationships
